2016/2017 cut off mark for all Nigeria University, polytechnic,college

Official JAMB cut off mark 2015 for admission into all universities,
polytechnics, colleges of education, and other institutions has been
been released.


In the announcement as approved by the Joint Admissions and
matriculation Board (JAMB), all universities (Federal, State or
Private) shall accept candidates with minimum UTME scores
of 180. Alongside all Federal, State and Private Polytechnics,
Colleges of Education and other degree
awarding institutions will accept 150.


The permanent secretary, Ministry of Education, McJohn Nwaoibala,
announced the cut off after a vote by representatives of all
institutions requiring JAMB scores at a combined policy meeting in the
Abuja office of JAMB.
With the release of the official JAMB cut off mark 2015, and with
special directive from the board
to schools requiring that all admission process be concluded on or
before October 31st, we expect announcement of post
UTME examination date by
schools that are yet to.

• All universities – 180

• All Polytechnics – 150

• All Colleges of Education – 150

• Every other school that use JAMB – 150

Gunmen assassinate driver to Fayose's aide few months after assassinating him

The driver of an aide of Ekiti state governor, Ayo Fayose, was shot dead by unknown gunmen wearing masks this morning while he was traveling along the Aramoko and Igede road in Ekiti state. This killing comes after the aide, Aderiye Omolafe himself was shot dead by unknown gunmen at his office in Ijigbo in September last year. Omolafe was a former Chairman of the Ekiti state chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW).

NFF Head of Protocol shot dead in his home in Abuja this morning

The Head of Protocol, Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Ibrahim Abubakar, was shot dead by armed robbers at his residence in Abuja in the early hours of today January 6th. PDP accuses EFCC of plotting to poison Olisa Metuh

PDP has accused operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, of plotting to poison its National Publicity Secretary Olisa Metuh who was arrested yesterday January 5th. “The PDP insists that for whatever reason Chief Metuh was arrested, his rights as a citizen under the law must not be trampled upon. We therefore demand (for) his immediate release and that due process of investigation and prosecution concerning him should be strictly adhered to. We state this because we have been made aware of top directives to break Chief Metuh and if possible poison him during his detention by the EFCC,” they said in a statement

Zinedine Zidane has been unveiled as the new coach of Real Madrid. The club's president, Florentino Pérez, revealed the appointment at a press conference held at the Santiago Bernabéu otoday following the conclusion of the meeting of the club's Board of Directors: "Good evening, first of all thank you to everyone for being here at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu. I appear before you to announce the agreements just reached by the Board of Directors of Real Madrid. Today we have made the difficult decision, particularly for me, to terminate the contract of Rafa Benítez as first-team coach. I wish to underline that he is a great professional and a magnificent person, and I would like to take this opportunity to place on record my gratitude to him for his hard work and dedication during his months as coach of Real Madrid". I would also like to announce that the Real Madrid Board of Directors have decided to name Zinedine Zidane as the new coach of the first team. There can be no doubt that Zidane is one of the game's all-time great figures. He knows better than anyone just what it means to lead the Real Madrid first-team squad. He's fully aware of how tough and at the same time how exciting this demanding position is. Furthermore, Zidane knows the players, as many of them lifted the club's tenth European Cup in Lisbon with him as assistant coach".
