Civic Education=Theory Answers 4 c ) i ) Expansion of the Scholarship Scheme at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels . The effort is designed to assist youths to acquire education at the tertiary level and to build up a formidable stock of human capital in critical areas of the economy.

3a) A national consciousness is a shared sense of national identity ,that is , a shared understanding that a people group shares a common ethnic /linguistic / cultural background.

3 b) i ) Tolerating one another : This means the willingness or a way of allowing people to do what they want to say without criticizing or punishing them. ii) Living in harmony : People should live with good understanding of themselves, no fighting or disagreement with one another . iii)Patriotism of the citizens : This refers to one’s love towards his country or nation . A patriotic citizen will wish his country well . iv )Showing hospitality: That is where the citizens exhibit friendly behaviour towards their visitors in the nation No7) civil society assists in building and strenghtening democracy -To limit and control the power of the state,particularly when a country is emerging from decades of dictatorship -To expose the curropt conduct of public officers and lobby for good governance reforms -To promotpolitical participation -Civil society also helps to develop programs for democratic civic education in schools as well -They monitor the conduct of elections and ensure that the voting and vote counting is free,fair,peaceful and transparent . 5a) Drug trafficking is the term used to describe the production, distribution and sale of illegal drugs. (5b) -It leads to untimely death of many nigerians especially the youths. -It has led to increase in crime wave in the country. -It has dented the image of the country outside because it is generally believed that every nigerian is a drug pusher -It enhance suicidal tendency and social nuisance -It leads to unkempt appearances and mental instability.

2a. National integration is the awareness of a common identity amongst the citizens of a country. It means that though we belong to different castes, religions and regions and speak different languages we recognize the fact that we are all one.
