LAUTECH Suspends All Student Union Activities Until Further Notice

Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH suspends all student union activities until further notice.

This is to inform all the students of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) that the management of the institution at an emergency meeting of the Expanded Management Committee held on Monday, June 6, 2016, a decision was taken to the effect that all Student Union activities be suspended with immediate effect and until further notice.

Management has also set up an investigation panel to examine all aspects of the 2016 Student Union election in all its ramifications.

All students are to note this for compliance.

Breaking News!! Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Gets New VC

The management of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife has appointed Professor Ayobami Taofeek Salami as the new vice chancellor of the institution.

A Professor of Ecology and Environmental studies, Ayo Salami was the immediate past Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the OAU .

He was the Director of Ecology and Environmental studies at OAU. An OAU alumni Ayo Salami graduated with a B.Sc degree 2nd Class Upper division from (then) University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife) in 1986 before he bagging an M.Sc degree from same institution in 1989 .269 × 228

Breaking News: Prince Jide Kosoko's Wife & Yoruba Actress Henrietta Kosoko Is Dead

Henrietta Kosoko, wife of Veteran actor Prince Jide Kosoko and Nollywood actress is dead.

She died after not able to survived from the motor accident she suffered in January and sustained lot of injuries.

She's reported to have slumped in her home before being rushed to the hospital, where she was confirmed dead earlier today.

The late actress is also said to have battling with diabetes before her death.

May her soul rest in peace..

Samson Siasia’s Led Olympic Team Beat Honduras 3-1 In Korea’s Suwon Tourney

The Dream Team led by coach Samson Siasia have finally won a game at the Suwon Invitational Tournament ahead of Rio 2016 Olympics as they came from behind to defeat Honduras 3 – 1.

Honduras’ Alber Elis scored in the 17th minute for Honduras and the team entered halftime holding a lead over Nigeria.

After much persistence, Captain Azubuike Okechukwu equalized for Nigeria in the 61st minute. before Godwin Saviour scored a magnificent goal by lobbing the goalie from the center of the pitch to make it 2-1.

Saturday, later scored probably the best goal of the tournament as he beat goalkeeper Fonseca in goal from the center of the pitch to make it 3-1.

Samson Siasia will be happy with this result after losing 1 – 0 to South Korea in their tournament opener and then 6 – 2 to Denmark.

Outgoing Barcelona full-back Dani Alves has confirmed he will join Juventus.

The Brazilian, who bid farewell to Barcelona on Thursday, had been linked with a number of clubs, including PSG and Manchester United.

Juve were the front-runners to seal his signature though, and he has confirmed such speculation by announcing his decision to join the Serie A champions.

“I am always happy, but even more so now,” he told Sportitalia. “The moment to change had arrived.

“I have won a lot at Barcelona, I enjoyed it, but the moment for new challenges arrived.

“I want to enjoy at Juventus and try to win in Europe. In the next few days I will go to Turin to sign [my contract].”
